ARTVERSE (Spring Fiesta) 2021

My selected works from Shadows of Memories (2020) were chosen for group exhibitions in Artverse Spring Fiesta (2021) in Nandalal Bose Gallery at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Kolkata, West Bengal, India.

The selected works represented ecology, queerness and gender fluidity and how they construct collective acknowledgement through geographic cultural memories.

Based upon musical analogy of “syncopation” and Vapor Wave theories in post structural music technology this large canvas diptychs and triptychs explore the idea of wall as a construction base where images or photographs are windows. Their arrangement create a graphic design often addressed for consumption. The pixel effect on these canvases also associates the the viewers’ seeing as reference to “seeing photographically” (see reference)

The exhibition was up through from 26 through 28th February, 2021.
